Celebrating 150 Years:

Founded in 1869, Horace Mann School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (HMS) has a 150+ year history of serving deaf and hard of hearing students in greater Boston and surrounding towns. On November 9, 2019, HMS hosted a Gala commemorating the school's past, present and future. 150 years and our story is still unfolding!

Celebrating 155 Years:

Horace Mann School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (HMS) moved from Allston to a temporary building in Charlestown during its 155th year, and so this celebration was postponed. On November 9, 2025, HMS hosted a fundraising event to celebrate 155 years of connection, collaboration, and growth. 155 years and our future is bright!
